Good morning!

Text:  Revelation 9;  Amos 5-6

At the end of this age, God will visit terrible judgments upon the earth and mankind.  Many will die, but some will be spared.  Sadly, their hearts will be cold and hard:

The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons… (Revelation 9:20)

This disturbing word is a reminder to pray.  First, we ought to give thanks for the Lord having touched our hearts and by His wonderful grace giving to us the gift of faith and repentance.  It is by grace – God’s unmerited favor – that we are saved.  He is so gracious to us!  And second, we need to pray for Him to open the hearts of those around us before it is too late.  These dreadful images in Revelation are of a time that is fast approaching.  May God be merciful and bring many to salvation before that Day.

in Him, Mike
