Good morning!
Today is a reflection day.
As Jesus announces that His time has arrived when He will lay down His life on the cross, He says these words:
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (John 12:24-25)
This is a simple truth – the surrendered life is the one that “bears much fruit.” This is simple to say, but so very difficult to enact. When the grain of wheat leaves the stalk it leaves all behind, It is cut off from life itself. It surrenders all. How about us? Have we laid it all down for Jesus? I am asking the Lord to reveal to me the things to which I yet cling and asking Him to help me release my grip and let them go.
