Good morning!
Text: Isaiah 18; Jeremiah 22-24
Our daily interaction with the Word of God brings great power to our lives.  Jeremiah 23:29 says this:

Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

The fall chill is reminding me to think about lighting the wood stove.  Watching as the match lights the paper, then the kindling catches, then the larger pieces of wood, eventually filling the house with warm, radiant heat.  This is a picture of how the word can bring warmth and light into our hearts and lives.  I recall years ago watching a brush fire in California go from a little puff of smoke to an inferno engulfing a whole mountainside in just minutes.  The Word of God can do that, too.  It is also like a hammer that can break the rocks that make our path rough, It can shatter even the large and weighty stones that would seal our own tombs.
the Word of God is amazing!  Keep reading.
